Bweez was commissioned by Moët Hennessy Travel Retail to develop an immersive and innovative retail experience called "Senses of Hennessy." This experience guides each visitor through a sensory discovery of their perfect Hennessy cognac, engaging sight, smell, hearing, and touch. These senses become the customer's compass, guiding them through a captivating exploration to find their ideal Hennessy cognac. This immersive adventure was unveiled in Macau, Singapore, and at Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport, and will continue in Hennessy boutiques across the United States and Asia.

THE ORIGIN OF THE EXPERIENCE

Launched in 2022 by Hennessy Travel Retail, the Senses of Hennessy experience did not fully meet user needs or the brand's objectives.

The results were very clear: there was low engagement and retention, and the user journey was described as confusing.

This is why Hennessy asked Bweez to propose a new vision for Senses of Hennessy in order to achieve its goals.

USER EXPERIENCE RESEARCH

An in-depth study of the Hennessy audience allowed us to highlight several types of consumers.

We sought to analyze each consumer based on their feelings, thoughts, and potential words or actions.

This personalization enabled us to better understand the audience in order to propose a concept that would satisfy a large majority.

BIG IDEA

While part of our audience seeks Hennessy to reflect their personality (more aligned with the Cognac Finder), the majority will look for the experience and emotional aspect of the brand.

Therefore, we aimed to engage the consumer by exploring their senses step by step, allowing for continuous immersion in the brand's universe.

Experience analysis

ARTISTIC DIRECTION

We chose to use a strong contrast of colors between the large screen section and the tablet section.

A deep black provides total immersion on the large screen, while an off-white on the tablet adds a premium touch and perfectly anchors the surface to the Corian support crafted by the architecture.

Creative orientation

DIGITAL CONTENT

The graphic content is revealed through a subtle motion play that references each of the senses:

  • Sight with a swirling and dynamic spirit.
  • Smell with fleeting and vaporous lines.
  • Hearing and touch with a vibrant spirit that alludes to the liquid.

Each motion unveils an immersive and realistic visual, evoking a specific idea.

INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

Bweez had the privilege of contributing to this unique immersive adventure, combining the refinement of Hennessy cognacs with innovative technologies:

  • Immersive screens display captivating videos at each stage, blending cognac tradition with technological modernity for an unforgettable experience.
  • AirParfum allows visitors to smell the natural aromas of Hennessy cognacs, offering a unique olfactory experience.
  • Actronika's haptic technology adds a tactile dimension, allowing users to feel subtle vibrations when touching the installation, thus enhancing immersion in the Hennessy universe.

DEPLOYMENT

Following the latest edition of the experience in Macau and Singapore, this immersive adventure will further expand into various Hennessy boutiques around the globe, inviting visitors from all over the world to embark on their own sensory odyssey.
